For nearly 25 years, Kristen has advised leaders in the for-profit, not-for-profit, and political sectors on telling their most important stories to stakeholders who matter most.
A steady thinker who blends a keen ear to messages that resonate with an instinct for organization, she develops concise narratives and comprehensive communication plans for leaders who are at the helm of critical initiatives.
Specifically, Kristen enjoys helping organizations communicate well through times of opportunity and change. Past projects include launching new endeavors, building the persona of thought leaders, capturing the hearts of donors, and motivating once-skeptical stakeholders to a point of passionate support.
She is a contributing author to a practical guide on communicating through a merger/acquisition, an experienced leader of both in-house and client teams, enjoys developing the unique angle for events that further a core message, and loves a good white-boarding session to tease out ideas and plan next steps. She first became passionate about strategic communications while interning in speechwriting offices at The White House and in the United States Senate. Kristen carries a B.A. in political science from Johns Hopkins University and an M.Ed. in organizational leadership from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College.
